Church Canceled! This Sunday February 10 2019 Dear Evergreen Church, I’m writing to let you know that we are canceling Evergreen's church service tomorrow for the safety of our church members and to honor those emergency and maintenance personnel who are working really hard to keep our region safe during this extreme winter storm. The temperatures tomorrow will be very cold in the morning, the streets will still be snowy and icy and our church parking lot is not prepared for cars. We certainly can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, including finding a way to keep the church open tomorrow, but we don’t feel that would be a wise choice. Instead, we want to keep the streets clear for only necessary travel and to keep our members safe. We encourage you to take some time on Sunday to worship, pray and read the word of God in your own dwelling place. I’ll be broadcasting a live devotional time here on Evergreen’s Facebook page at 10 A.M.

NEXT MENS NIGHTS Wednesday, February 27, @6:30 P.M. here at Evergreen Church • Once-a-month mens gathering here at the church on a Wednesday evening for the next 4 months (Feb - May). • Our main focus is to better connect with one another and to collectively better connect with God. • Each gathering will be from 6:30 to 7:45 pm (1hr-15mins) • We'll include a light meal, a time of testimony with focused topic from scripture, opportunity for discussion and questions, ending with a time of prayer. "DO NOT BE AFRAID OR DISCOURAGED" In a season of giants, the everlasting God is close. There may be moments of uncertainty ahead, but One who is both beginning and end, sees what we do not see. He has overcome. We do not have to let fear set the tone of the day. Rather, we can be comforted. We can be confident. We can be free. “Do not be afraid or discouraged” the Lord says to our ancestors. For as much with them as with us, “the Lord our God is with us wherever we go.”
